Gini, Rotary and me ...

Created by greg 10 years ago
When I was young in my Rotary life, I sat next to Gini at a board meeting. During a particularly protracted item of business, she made one of her sarcastic (but very truthful) observatins under her breath and it made me laugh at loud - I was so embarrased, she winked at me and we became fast friends. Later, we had a party at our house in Altadena. Gini, Pam and Elsa held court on the fromt porch swing, charming my partner Rob and talking about old houses. At the next Rotary meeting, she handed me a plastic bag full of old Bungalow parts from her place, including push button light switches. Every evening, when I turn on our porch light, I am reminded of her and her generous, giving nature. She is greatly missed. Deepest condolences - Greg Gill
